This site is a demonstration mock-up. Villa Alizéa does not exist: the name, the texts, the rates, the reviews, the villa's contact details and its registration number were invented to show what this kind of site can do. The photographs come from royalty-free image libraries and show other properties. No real establishment is depicted or referred to. Only the publisher's identity, set out below, is real.
This English page is a translation provided for convenience. The site is published from France, and the French version prevails in the event of any discrepancy.

Any seasonal letting must be declared to the competent authority, and the number obtained must appear on every listing. The stated occupancy is binding: it must match the number of beds actually available.
Tourist tax
The tourist tax is collected by the owner on behalf of the authority, on top of the price of the stay. It appears separately in the booking summary. The rate used in this mock-up is 5% of the nightly rate per person, capped at €4.30 per person per night. Rates and caps are set by the Collectivité de Saint-Martin and reviewed periodically: they must be checked with them before any real publication.
Booking, deposit and cancellation
A booking becomes firm once the 30% deposit is paid. The balance is called 30 days before arrival. A €3,000 security deposit is held as an uncharged card pre-authorisation, released after the check-out inspection.
Worth remembering: the 14-day right of withdrawal that applies to distance selling does not apply to accommodation supplied on a specified date. The owner's own cancellation terms must therefore be stated clearly and accepted before payment.
Payment
On this mock-up, payment is simulated. The "Book" button runs the whole journey — checking the dates, calculating the amount on the server, the confirmation page — but no card is requested and no money is taken.
The integration remains in the code, ready to use. In service, card payments would be handled by Stripe, on pages hosted by Stripe: no card number is entered, transmitted or stored by this site, which is the condition of PCI DSS compliance. Amounts are recalculated on the server from the dates and the number of guests alone, and availability is checked again before payment opens.
Personal data
The information sent through the form (name, email, telephone, dates, message) goes to the site's publisher, at the address given above, and is used solely to answer the enquiry. It is neither shared nor sold. Legal basis: pre-contractual measures and performance of the contract. Recommended retention: three years after the last contact for enquiries that go no further, ten years for accounting records.
Under the GDPR and the French Data Protection Act, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, exercisable by writing to the contact address. You may lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no advertising cookies and uses no analytics tracker. The typefaces are hosted on this server: no request goes to a third party, and no visitor's IP address is therefore passed to anyone as a result of loading them.
Trade marks
Airbnb, Booking.com, Google and Stripe are trade marks registered by their respective owners. They are named here only to indicate where the reviews come from and who would process payment.
Accessibility
The essential content — description, contact details, rates, conditions and the form — remains readable without JavaScript. The gallery can be navigated by keyboard and by finger, and animations are switched off for anyone who has enabled reduced motion in their system.
Photographic credits
All the images come from royalty-free libraries that permit commercial use. The Unsplash and Pexels licences do not require attribution: it is given here out of courtesy, and so that the provenance of each file stays verifiable.
A single grade has been applied to every image — colour alignment on a reference series, then a common curve — so that a set drawn from several sources reads as one place. The correction is baked into the files, not applied by the browser.

The animated sequence on the home page
The flyover on the home page is not a video: it is a run of 264 still images that scrolling steps through one frame at a time. Each one is a real frame from the clip — every second frame, at a regular interval — so nothing is interpolated. They are graded like the rest of the site.

This clip was not filmed in Saint-Martin, and the site does not claim otherwise: like the photographs, it comes from a royalty-free library. The framing was tightened onto the water and the boats, with no coastline or relief in shot — so it shows no identifiable place. A real client supplies their own footage.

Before any real publication. These photographs show properties other than the one described. The licences permit commercial use, but presenting a rental with someone else's images would mislead the guest — and would leave both guest and owner with an unpleasant surprise on arrival. They must be replaced with photographs of the actual property.
